Q: How close are you to Dublin City Centre ?

A: Sandymount Hotel is 4km from Grafton Street.

Q: What are the coordinates of the hotel ?

Q: Where is the temple bar ?

A: Temple Bar is Dublin`s busy nightlife quarter is located near O`connell Bridge. The nearest DART station is Tara Street.

Q: Where is the nearest DART Station ?

A: The closest DART Station is Lansdowne Road (NOT SANDYMOUNT) station is at Aviva Stadium 200 metres from the hotel. The line runs along the East of Dublin from Greystones to Howth/ Malahide. City Centre (Tara Street) is three stops. Trains run every 15 mins approx. 6am (Sun 9.30am) - midnight. Q: Where is the closest Aircoach Station to Sandymount Hotel ?

A: A direct link to and from Dublin airport (702 Greystones or 703 Killiney route). The nearest pick-up point to the hotel is Pembroke Road, Ballsbridge. 

Q: Where is the nearest Bank/ATM to Sandymount Hotel ?

A: The nearest bank and ATM machine is Allied Irish Bank, Sandymount Village. Opening hours: Weekdays 10am - 4pm except Thursday 10am - 5pm. The ATM is a 24hour service.

Q: How to order a taxi ?

A: Taxis can be ordered through reception. There is currently a shortage of taxi's in Dublin so we advise guests to give themselves plenty of time to get to your destination. 

Q: Can the hotel hold luggage after check out ? 

A: Yes, there is a luggage room at the hotel.

Q: Where to find the nearest Chemist ?

A: Murrays Pharmacy Serpentine Avenue, just around the corner from the hotel, is open 9am - 6.30om (Mon-Fri), 9.30am - 5pm (Sat). A late night chemist, Lloyds Pharmacy, in Donnybrook, opens 9am- 9pm (Mon-Fri), 9am - 9pm (Sat), 11am - 8pm (Sun).  

Q: Where to find a Supermarket ?

A:  There is a Tesco Supermarket in Sandymount village. Openning Hours: 7am - 10pm, (Sun 8am - 10pm) .

Q: Is there anywhere to shopping ? 

A: The two main shopping streets in Dublin's City centre are Henry Street and Grafton Street with shopping centres at St. Stephen's Green and Jervis Street.

Q: What time is check-in ?

A: From 3 pm

Q: What time is check out ?

A: Check out time is 12 o'clock. If you require a late check out, there is an additional charge and is subject to availability. Please inform reception at your earliest convenience. 

Q: Is there any Office Facilities ?

A: We have a computer located beside reception for anyone who would like to print off boarding passes. Please notify reception if you require photocopying. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to use these facilities. 

Q: Where to find place to Money Transfers ?

A: These are available from the local post office on Shelbourne Road. 

Q: What is the hotel's credit card policy ?

A: A credit card is required upon booking to secure your reservation; our cancelation policy is before 3 pm the day prior to arrival. Upon check-in your credit card will be authorised for the cost of your stay. Debit cards will be charged upon check-in or alternatively be paid by cash.

Q: What is the Credit/Debit Cards accepted ?

A: Is accept the following credit/debit cards: Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club, Revolut.  

Q: What is the hotels cancellation policy?

A: Majority of our rates include free cancellation by 3pm the day prior to arrival.  Please take note as our advance purchase rates are non refundable / non transferable.  Therefore full payment is taken at the time of booking and no refunds and no changes permitted.  Please take note of the rate policy at the time of booking.

Q: Do you have family rooms? Are there cots for children available ?

A: Yes. Sandymount Hotel has family bedrooms that accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. We can provide a rollaway bed for a 3rd child under 12 at an additional cost. We also have bedrooms with 3 single beds, bedrooms with a double and a single bed. Q: Do you have wheelchair-accessible rooms ?

A: Yes.

Q: Do you offer hairdryers in your rooms ?

A Yes.  Hair dryer is located in the top of the dressing table in your bedroom.

Q: Do you provide coffee makers in your bedrooms ?

A: Yes, there are tea and coffee making facilities in all bedrooms. New to Executive Bedrooms are Nespresso Machines and pods. We also offer guests fresh milk – please just call reception.

Q: Do you provide iron and ironing boards for use during my stay ?

A: Yes, Irons and ironing boards are located in your wardrobe. 

Q: How to order a room service ? 

A: There is a daily room service and breakfast menu available. Breakfast room service card is on the back of your door. Please dial room service ext. 180 or 809 to place an order. 

Q: Is internet access available ?

A: Yes.  There is a complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Please go to your Wi-Fi settings and select Sandymount Hotel. If you have any issue logging on, please do not hesitate to contact reception. 

Q: What is the cancellation policy ?

A: Free cancellation before 3pm day prior to arrival. If you have booked a non-refundable rate there are no refunds or transfers permitted.

Q: Do you have gym in the hotel ? 

A: There is a Fitness Room in the hotel, please go to reception to get an access key. There are well equipped gyms in the area. Please contact reception for recommendations. 

Q: What is the laundry operating time ?

A: Items left at reception before 8.00am will be returned to your room by 6.00pm in the evening. Service is available Monday to Saturday. There is no service on Sundays or public holidays. Fill out the laundry form and attach it to your Laundry bag. Our laundry company also provide an amendment and alteration service. 

Q: How to contact a Doctor ? 

A: Please dial 0 for the hotel operator who will contact the 24hr Doctor on your behalf. Please have the patient`s age and symptoms ready for the operator who will need to inform the doctor.

Q: Are there Plugs / Adaptors available  ?

A: There are European & US adaptors available at reception. 

Q: Are there Mobile Phone Charges ? 

A: There are a number of charges at reception. Phones must be left at reception for charging. Unfortunetely, we do not have charges for all phones types.  

Q: How does the security work in the rooms ? 

A: All rooms are fitted with a digital safe. Instructions are with the safe. Valuables may also be left with reception for safekeeping. Please note that the hotel accepts no resposibility for loss from bedrooms. 


Q: What time is breakfast served ?

A: Breakfast is served 6.30 am - 10am Monday - Friday and 6:30 am - 10.30 am Saturday and Sunday. 

Q: Will buffet breakfast still be served ?

A: A buffet breakfast will be served by our Breakfast Chef each morning in Whitty's Restaurant.

Q: What time do you serve food ?

A: An All Day Menu is served daily from 12.30 pm - 9.30 pm in Whitty's Restaurant.

Q: Does the hotel have a car park ?

A: Yes. Sandymount Hotel provides complimentary parking to guests and visitors on a first come basis. The hotel has approximately 100 spaces available so there is limited parking on major event dates.  You can enter the hotel via the main entrance that is just a few steps from the car park. If you require assistance, please make reception aware.
